Hi,
Long story short I have a pair of budgies sitting on 6 eggs with 5 defo fertile, the 1st one started pipping midnight this morning but hadn't emerged by 8am on morning check. The chick was still pipping and moving so I let it be, was getting worried as hadn't heard anything all afternoon and on checking this evening the chick had only made it a third the way round the egg no movement present no noises. I think it has died I have let it be for now but if it has not emerged by morning I will removeš¢ not sure why it has died possibly humidity at time of hatching and chick had dried out will make sure hen has bath available as second egg is due late tomorrow evening what else can I do!?? Thanks.

Unfortunately I'm not sure who can help you with this one, as we have very few breeders frequenting the forum at present. Try contacting the Budgerigar Breeders Assoc/Society in your area. Someone there will be more able to help you, I feel.
