Hi again thechickenguy. I have a small flock also, a flock of 6 hens. I live in a fairly built up area on the edge of the countryside so a cock bird would be out of the question (not allowed!!) My chooks are Orpingtons, four buffs, one chocolate blue and one lacewing. They are rather huge and have really fluffy bums!! I quite often post little 'newsy' bits on here about them, plus of course all the health problems that come with them. What do you have? Would love to hear about them and see some pictures. I will look out some pictures of mine, if you are interested. If you look at the title thread on this page headed 'Chicken Run' you will see my little flock.

I've got 1 Buff, 1 BLRW, and 2 Reds. I've previously had Wheaten Marans and Silkies, as well. I'm not sure how to post pictures, tho...

I love Silkies, but they get so dirty round their legs!! No good with all the bad weather we have had recently in this neck of the woods. Having said that, I love ALL chickens!
How to post pictures: the easy way is to click on the 'add imaage to post' button on the top left hand side of your quick reply, which will take you to a box to browse your computer 'choose image' you want and it will add it for you. Hope that's clear enough, I'm not good at explaining things. Then members can click on the image that shows up which enlarges it.
