What do you do, hypothetical question ... sort of.
Scenario: You are sitting on your deck or outdoor area having breakfast, reading the paper, drinking coffee on a weekend, when your partner is stung by a wasp. Not once, not twice, but three times.
Do you: A. Ignore the yelp of pain and mumble something about wasps not stinging for no reason? B. Be concerned enough to ask if OH is okay. Will look for wasp nest when you finish your coffee? C. Jump up and examine the stings, making sure OH is all right? D. Immediately go into Superhero mode, rescuing OH from further harm and immediately dealing with the offending nest?

Well! I had a situation when stung by NUMEROUS wasps! They were annoyed cos I watered their nest. Not a sensible thing to do I might add. The said wasps chased me round to the door where I was trying to escape, they got tangled in my hair and I got in a bit of a state, being on my own at the time. My advice to you is to make sure OH has no stings stuck in his flesh (do wasps do this? perhaps it's only bee's). Run to chemist to buy some antihistamine cream and offer to rub this into all the stings for OH, if he doesn't mind. ( ) Feel so sorry for your OH, but he must have annoyed these wasps as they only sting if you attack them, their nest, or annoy them by flipping them away. Note to OH if a wasp comes near you, wherever you are, whatever you are doing, just WALK AWAY!! (This may have to be done several times!!!) Your OH has my full sympathy, after my experience which I am ashamed to say sent me mental literally, my daughter had to take me to the Doctor immediately as I was incapable of anything.

Another thing: if you kill one for whatever reason and there are more about...BAD IDEA as they emit a ferramone which tells the other wasps in the vicinity to attack. Multiple stings can actually affect the person mentally from the amount of poison accumulated so best to aid the individual asap. If you can get some antihistamine tablets as well that will help.

Certainly affected me mentally samwiseg!! I don't think I've been the same since!! No, but seriously, it's not good to have multiple stings.

What option did you choose Hezz? 🤔 Hope OH is ok. I've only ever been stung once in my life, that was sore enough, cant imagine 3 times.

You have all scored an F. A big FAT F for FAILED!! Except F wasn't an option. I was the one stung - I bumped a chair while cleaning the birds' cages, a nest I didn't know was there, about a metre away from OH's chair. What did I get? Option A. How do you ignore a sound of pain? If your dog yelped, would you ignore it? Shirls, I too have had multiple stings in the garden, ran into the downstairs room pulling off my clothes because they were inside my shirt etc only on that occasion to be greeted with "did you have to bring them all inside with you?" No .... I could have taken all my clothes off in my driveway and give my neighbours something to talk about for the rest of their very short lives (short, because I would have had to kill them!)

Ooooh, you caught us all out there Hezz Now then, me being me would have chosen option A, if it had been MY OH, however if it had been me i would have fully expected option D to have swung into action Sorry i know its no laughing matter really and i hope you is ok

That's awful!!! I'm glad you're okay!! And, knowing that you're okay, I can give my honest answer of E: run away screaming and flailing, expecting him to also deal with the nest later I'm terrified of insects so I'd be booking it out of there, and would be afraid to go back out until he dealt with the nest lol. I'd be sure to offer salves and NSAIDS afterwards though
