Just seen this thread and thought I'd give my mum's advice for stings. If it's a wasp sting apply vinegar, and for a bee sting it's bicarbonate of soda. I have only ever been stung by bees, but once wasx just a few weeks ago - it didn't leave the sting fortunately, but I applied a paste of bicarbonate of soda very quickly, and I hardly had any pain from it. Hope it helps. Oh and the way to remember is bicarb starts with a b for bee, and vinegar is v - for vasp.... I know, but you Will remember that now. Lol

Ouch, you have my sympathy Hezz I have been stung a few times but not all at once. I picked up a shopping bag once in a green grocers shop when I was a child and there was a bumblebee inside the handle, it stung me in the palm of my hand. Then a few years ago a wasp stung me on my neck after getting tangling in my necklace! I can't believe your OH just sat there. Men!
