You know the sound...the one that sounds like he's telling the whole world off. Seems to use it every time a toy or his image in the mirror doesn't go to his liking. It's quite amusing but is it a sign that he's unhappy? He doesn't use it with me, he has been stepping up (albeit reluctantly at times) and coming up to me and nibbling my mouth and nose through the bars. Also chirping all the time, as well as hanging upside down from the top of his cage and sitting next to me on 1 foot while I talk to him/her(still not sure). But the angry I'm mad sound has me wondering if I'm doing something wrong?

I'm not sure of the noise you mean, it could be what I refer to as a squiggle.
Probably just showing that something annoyed him. They often get miffed at mirrors and toys.

I'm not sure of the noise, either, but budgies will just have a noise-fest for any old reason known only to themselves, at times.

I know that sound. I call it the dolphin scream. Mine do it when upset or overly excited.
A couple days ago both girls went off when they saw a big bee outside, the crows upset them too. I've had to block off most of their view outside.

Mine get spooked when a gull or crow fly over, but they soon get over it.
