Jo is really not very well this morning, she was just coming out of her breeding phase and yesterday she fell and caught her wing. There is a little bit of blood towards the end of her tail feather and she seemed ok, still pottering about and eating. This morning she is just huddled up and has not pooed all night, she will let me stroke her, which she never does normally. She's asleep at the moment, her breathing seems normal but generally lethargic. I have to go out this morning so the hubby is on watch.
I don't really want to take her to a vets as there are no avian vets around her and she is quite nervous and I think the shock would kill her.
Fingers crossed she picks up but I have a bad feeling.

Do you have anything to put in her water Sue, maybe Guardian Angel, or I've read on here, a little honey in the water, maybe it would give her a little bit of energy. See what others think.
Hope you feel better soon Jo 😚

Oh gosh! Sorry I hVe only just logged on. I have no experience with a budgie being egg bound I'm so sorry, but I've tried to research and a warm bath to try to relax the muscle. I've read trying to massage the area to help the egg pass But I would be quite wary as you don't want the egg to break whilst still inside. How is she? I'm hoping the egg has passed by now???

Some other info I've fpund:
massaging the area with olive oil. I would be hesitant with massaging I must admit due to dear of breaking the egg before passing it. But just wanted to give you as much info as I could.
Putting her in a shallow warm bath, warm enough to relax her muscles.
Put your budgie in a steamy room, and place her on a warm wet towel.
I do hope she is okay.
