I was elated Marianne. Just about to give Max his MT and let them out of their travel cage.

He did not like the Milk Thistle in his beak, at all, he drew blood on my finger to let me know 😁 I'll take all the bites, if it means he gets better. What a mess on his feathers though

I did warn you, I did!! I only tried it once with Misty and his feathers were stained for ages too ... be warned about that as well. I can only say ... follow your vet's instructions. She has the knowledge, she has seen and assessed the bird. While you continue to see improvement, keep the faith. If something doesn't sound right to you, by all means open it up for discussion on here, or if it's just a second opinion you feel you need. Glad Max seems to be doing better. Big thumbs up to you for getting on top of it all so quickly.

Thanks Hezz. You have no idea what you people on this forum mean to me. Onwards and upwards. Back into the room in the afternoon for more sun and fresh air, it's another lovely day.

Oh he bit you! Oops!
I always take that as a sign that sick birds have some fight left in them!
I have been bitten by several birds - Lucy has one hell of a bite on her, we had to wear plasters to stop her breaking the skin!
Even mild mannered gentleman Billybob managed to savage my fingers.

Here are the pictures you asked for Marianne. In the bedroom enjoying some sun and fresh air, and munching their seeding grasses.

Thank you ffiscool. Think I'll do a somersault when I eventually hear him chirping again. But he's a different little bird, I couldn't believe how cheeky they both were in the travel cage this morning to and from the vet 🤣

That's great, look at those happy boys Thanks for enlarging it Marianne. My OH goes to see a friend of his on a Friday afternoon, so I sat with the boys in the bedroom enjoying their interaction again, my heart singing. I've had a bit of a crappy week with one thing and another, so a few quiet hours with my boys just made my day 😗😗
