They do that to preen, the feather looks very tatty in that picture. Is she moulting?

I think she has her foot stuck through her wing, Charlie gets this happen sometimes, perhaps she needs some assistance to get her foot out??

The photo is not really clear to determine what is actually going on, but there is nothing that is of a medical issue, just a bird doing its own thing, in its own way.  That's what I saw, anyway. |

She kinda falls over her self on purpose and get her foot through her wing and starts biting it like she’s going to pull her feathers out but she doesn’t, sometimes I see her feathers on the ground so I guess you could say she’s multing

She also bites a lot when you put your finger near her does anyone know how to tame a female budgie so she doesn’t bite

She is 5 I got her 5 years ago for my birthday but a year later I had to move so I only just got her back 1 month ago

To me it either looks like obsessive behavior or her wing is in discomfort.

It looks to have become a habit to me, as well. The last photo is not loading for me, at the moment ... With all that time separated, you are both going to have to learn the ways of the other. I do hope that works out for you. |
