Have you had a look Moogie to see if there's anything that would annoy him, maybe poops that are stuck. Ben does it from time to time if he has poop stuck, but once he's got rid, he's fine. You could always bathe his wee bum in some luke warm water to relieve whatever it is that's annoying him. Hope he's ok though.

Glad you have the vet appointment, Moogie. If he is struggling to poop sometimes, that definitely needs to be seen to. I do hope it is nothing serious. Will he eat things like lettuce or celery? I'm thinking high-fibre things with high water content ... might just loosen him up. Are you able to hold him and feel around his vent for any lumps?

I would try bathing the vent with cotton wool and water and maybe apply a tiny amount of Vaseline or Savlon. He might be a bit sore down there. Like Hezz says try and get him to eat some watery veg if you can.

I wondered about lumps too Hezz. Polly has a fatty lump in that region and she does tend to get poo stuck sometimes and also kick about in that area. Hope all goes well at the vet.

On the odd occasion Charlie has had an irritated bottom. Celery usually 'frees' him up, and a bathe in tepid water. I apply Savlon too and it soon clears up. I think the constipation makes his bum red and sore from straining. Hope the vet can sort Meeko out if you can't Moogie.
