Hi everyone, hope you help me with that and please don't advice me with a vet visit because it is impossible here
ok my couple budgies got 3 chicks now i realized that both of them is panting and the female is more than the male and her voice has changed
after reading and reading i found out it's iodine deficiency so i added some salt to their water the female started to drink like she never done before and fed her chicks water as well that was yesterday, a couple of hours before dawn
today at afternoon i found that the chicks poop become so soft and smelled like cat urine so i removed the salt in water and added a bit to the seeds
2 if the chicks is doing well but the younger (6 days now) seems to poop seeds what should I do about him?
this is my first time dealing with chicks so please tell me gently what to do
thank you and waiting for your reply

I'm not sure about the salt water, just hold off until one of the others come on. It is a bit quiet tonight but please be patient. I don't know about your problems. Hezz, Marianne or Samwiseg or one of the other regulars will be about soon.

I just googled. Please don’t give any more salt to them. It can cause kidney issues. If you think they are lacking iodine, can you get them iodine blocks? Or buy iodine/multi vitamin drops for pet birds

You should be able to buy iodine tincture from a chemist/pharmacy and add a couple of drops per 100mls of water. Have a look on-line for iodine supplement blocks for birds, you may be able to find one who will post to your area.
