Our new addition........Went out on Saturday after phoning round a few breeders and picked this little guy, who I'm hoping is a little guy, but not too bothered if he's not, as I'm head over heels. The choice was between this one and a white Recessive Pied, but OH and myself loved this little blue boy. He is 6 weeks old, and in quarantine until he gets to meet Ben......Can't wait. They have been calling to each other, and within 2 hours of coming home he was tucking into a piece of millet that the breeder gave me home with him, he is now on the seed I buy, but hasn't worked out that he's supposed to go to the dishes for it yet, he wants to go to the cage floor, probably down to his age, but he's a great wee eater and gets tucked in. I have called him Sam, Because my Brother (Sam) was a great support to me when I lost my beloved boy Max, he bought the planter and the yellow rose and buried Max for me, and has continued to look after him. Sam was in the kitchen all day with me yesterday while I worked about and seems unfazed by noises of the washing machine, or hoover. It's a bit of a struggle though, think I need to cut myself in half to please both birds I'm in and out of kitchen and living room all day, trying to be there for both of them. Here he is:-

Thanks OP, I know you don't come on the forum very often now, so I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. Hope you're keeping well. Miss your input and humour xx

Very cute. He looks a little like my Micky, only a slightly paler blue. I think he's going to be a very smart bird, because if you take a close look at the 2nd photo you can see that he's written his name in brail on the paper on the floor of his cage. lol

Thanks ffiscool, had a few sleepless nights over this, but didn't think it was fair to keep Ben as a lone bird.

He’s beautiful jellybean 🥰. He looks a bit like my Squawky. Good times ahead for Sam (& Ben) 😊

I hope so Jane, looking forward to the meet and greet, if I'm still standing at the end of quarantine, with all this toing and froing and moving cages 🤣

Thank you yellowfacedviolet. He's been a bit quiet today, but so has Ben, it's been a dull, rainy, miserable day here.
