I really hope it goes well, maybe that will be just what she needs to boost her confidence. I'll look forward to your weekend update 😉😀

JB, so relieved that you are able to get some of the same food as what the breeder was feeding Sam. I do think this will help him, and a very good sign that he is both eating and drinking while you watch him. Have you been back to the vet?

No, I didn't go Hezz, I decided to wait and see what his poops were like this morning after the Guardian Angel. This is his poops this morning:- I don't know what to do, if I take him back to the vet they will probably keep him in over the weekend, and I presume it will be skeleton staff. I also doubt he won't be allowed his own cage, and I'm also worried he won't eat because he had yet to really figure out what the seed dishes were for unless I held them up to him. Any help anyone?? Edit post:- He seems a bit more alert this morning and not sitting so fluffed up, Ben is going nuts in the living room calling to him and Sam is calling back. Just having breakfast then leaving for the breeder to pick up the seed.

I would wait a little longer, perhaps there is something in your seed that he is allergic too, you never know. Perhaps the breeder may be able to help if you show him the photos. I hope he picks up soon.
You never know what's the right thing to do. I am like you and get stressed and so mixed up about what to do. You beat yourself up and before you know it the little so and so's have perked up.
Fingers crossed.xx

Thanks Sue, you're so right, we do beat ourselves up, just 10 minutes ago he jumped up to a higher perch in the cage calling to Ben, he has never been on a high perch for the past 2 days.
Poor Ben is going nuts in the living room calling to him. I hope the breeders seed helps.
Thanks again Sue xx

What kind of seed dishes did he have when he was with the breeder? It's a shame that there isn't more confidence in the vet looking after him I hope having the seed from the breeder will help him. I sometimes buy the countrywide seed from garden feathers.

I'm just catcching up here jellybean. I have been trying to read everything but it's so difficult to read and type with a magnifying glass in onehand and typing with the other. I sincerely hope you get to the root of the problem. It is very good of the breeder to take an interest and help with this. Here's hoping for a good and swift outcome for you and Sam.

I just looked back to the previous picture and I think his poops look more solid. The faeces part isn't too bad, just a bit too much water. They look quite like Criswell's were when he got himself too stressed. I'm glad Sam's more alert today. I agree it's so hard to know what to do for the best. I hope he continues to improve through the day
Have you been giving him the marbocyl?

I had only to give the Marbocyl, criswell, IF he was feeling better, last night because his poops were still runny I decided against it. Hopefully, the way he is this morning, if this continued throughout the day I will give the Marbocyl tonight.

Hopefully the seed from the breeder will help make him feel better too.
It's a tricky instruction from the vet because it's so hard to tell if a little bird is feeling better.

Perhaps you could get some similar feeders, so he has something familiar.
