so i got a budgie for my birthday about a month ago now and at the start, we thought she was a boy as her cere was blue in colour. however, since we bought her a bigger cage for her to live in ive noticed some strange behaviour. her cere has started turning brown at the bottom and is blue on top and it has crusted over a bit. she also sits hunched over with all of her feathers ruffled, which ive read could be a sign of illness. my mum asked around with some of her friends who breed budgies and they say she could be going through puberty or just beginning to want to mate (i think thats correct, im not sure) however, when i look up any of her symptoms it just comes up with "my budgie is sick! help!" so ive decided to post here for some, hopefully, professional help. thank you!
EDIT; just to be clear, this is my first time owning a bird and i was researching in their health and care for a good 3 month before this. we dont know how old she is, either.

Your description of the cere describes a hen, but your photos are not definitive, in my opinion. I have had young males with a purple-ish/brown coating to the ceres which disappears as they mature. I don't see and whitening around the nares in either photo. I don't see anything in either photo to indicate a sick bird. He/she has been moulting and has so replacement feathers, called pin feathers, growing. Moults can cause a budgie to become a bit lethargic and cranky, and some egg or eggfood can help them through the process.
If you really are concerned, it is always wise to get your bud to the vet. How energetic is your bird normally and what are the poops like? Photos will help there.
