Decided the boys should meet today instead of tomorrow, it's a grey day here so Ben was quiet in the living room and Sam quiet in the kitchen, so thought I'd cheer them both up.
Think it's worked, Sam is scrambling about the cage trying to meet him, Ben is VERY interested.
Don't think my old back could survive much longer on a kitchen chair 🤣🤣
Pictures to follow......

Sounds like all the planets aligned ... the weather, your "old" back, two quiet birds ... Good luck for tomorrow!

Sam has yet to venture out of his cage.
Ben had a mad fly around the living room earlier, I thought Sam was going to fly out and join him, but it never happened.
I'll let him take it at his own pace.
Both of them having 40 winks just now.

It is so exciting when birds meet each other for the first time.

There's a lot of watching each other going on OP, and little chirps back and forth, but no one making a move to meet.

Still nothing Marianne, hence no pictures 😔ðŸ˜
When Ben flies Sam gets a bit jumpy, I'm leaving him to make the move to come out himself......am I doing the right thing??

You could always put some millet(or any favourite treat) half in and out of the doorway, it's a trick I have used many times.

I used to do that to tempt him out when he was in quarantine for a fly around in the bedroom, but then he was on his own. I think Ben would be great with him too, if he'd just take the plunge.
Maybe he's just a bit overwhelmed today.

Ben just landed on top of Sam's cage, Sam was hanging from the cage roof desperate to meet, he stayed there for about 10 minutes. Sam just won't come out, I thought Ben was going to go in, but changed his mind and went into his own cage for a feed 🤣🤣
Progress is being made 😀
