He’s coming on great. We have seen him eat his seed today but not drink yet but he’s had a nibble of some red chard out of my hand. He has lost the really ragged tail feather he had today so he looks even more handsome. We don’t go past the cage without we put our hands in (as we’ve done with all our buds) he steps up well (not got much choice 😂) I left a very low lamp on last night and the radio today and he seems happy and is chirping away. I think he’s going to make a great little guy. We still haven’t decided on a name though.

He’s discovered millet! Now we have a bargaining tool! He’s just eaten a very small piece out of my hand!

He sounds like he's going to be a steady chap Helen, he may even teach Eric to be more forthcoming

If he’s steady, he could be steady Eddie

ffiscool that’s what Alex wants to call him, Eddie. I’m not sure, he doesn’t seem like an Eddie to me but it might grow on me.

I hope so skysmum, Eric is definitely getting more withdrawn. We started playing utube videos of Budgies chirping and he really got excited which is what finally made up our minds to get him a friend. I really hope it pans out ok.

I'm sure it will, i think once they have lived with another bud it's hard for them to adjust. If you have a single from the start it's not so bad because they bond with you, as you know well with dear Pickle. I'm never quite sure with Bailey, he likes to be with just me but when he has been alone he starts to call for the others and is happy to go back to them. Bit of both with him i think, on his terms

I think it’s the same for any of us. I like my own company, like seeing other people, but also glad to get home again.
Unless that special person/bud
I think you’re right re B though. But luckily he does have the best of both worlds. It’s prob I love being the centre of attention, but hang in, I hear other buds, I should socialise I suppose.
Eric I’m sure will be fine.
Re the name, also needs to go with Eric as in easy to roll off the tongue, when they’re both causing havoc and you’re calling them
If you watch Emmerdale, call him Pollard, lol
My first grey was called Dusty. With Bailey I was watching Scott and Bailey.

I liked Dusty myself, but tend to think it a female name. Sorry I don’t watch the soaps I’m afraid.

The problem is that we picked Eric and Ernie which really went together like salt and pepper so now it’s hard to think of anything else to go with Eric.
