Hi guys. Just wanted to make a post to see if anyone knows what has happened to one of my birds. After coming home yesterday I was told that one of my birds had injured their leg. After inspecting it, it looks as if there is no external damage, however she is unable to open it up to perch. The leg looks as if it is numb, but she is able to grip with it sometimes when she isnt on the floor hopping around. Does this mean she has sprained it or broken it possibly? Thanks in advance

I don’t know about this sort of thing. I’m sure a more experienced member will be able to offer you some advice. However they might need some photos if you’re able to get them.

Do you have an avian vet you could take her to to have it checked, she must be in some discomfort if she's holding it up.

Unless she starts using it again pretty quickly then it's probably something serious.
Only an avian vet can tell you if it's gout, arthritis, a stroke, tumour, or even something else.
