As Winter is approaching, it is time for a seasonal banner change, so all you arty people, what can you come up with that will brighten our days through the gloom of Winter?
Designs need to conform to the following specs: Size: 1000 x 255 pixels (or more, but must keep to the same dimensions) Format: jpeg, jpg, png or gif
Must have the words "Budgerigars forum" in large legible font. and include the phrase: "a friendly and informative forum for budgerigar owners, breeders and exhibitors."
Entries are limited to three banners per person. Closing date is 15th December 2019 with voting to commence the next day.

I wish, sigh. Come on all you lovely people, lets get behind this banner business and hopefully we will see some contributions from some of our newer members.

I hope some people will contribute. We seem to be getting less and less entries these days

I hope some people will contribute. We seem to be getting less and less entries these days That’s a shame. I’d do one but I don’t know how to Marianne. I’m not good with these things.

I would have a go as well, in fact did try a while ago but somehow my computer wouldn't cooperate, even with the divine interference of a then teenager, If My son couldn't get me working, there was no hope. I think a lot of people are time-poor, M.

Sam's tutorial is really good and it helped me make a banner when I'd never made one before. I'll try and do one. I just need some inspiration. And I'll have to go through the tutorial again as I've forgotten how to do it

I will see if I can put one together or find one that hasn't been used. I don't seem to have a minute these days. Certainly not enough time to be creative.

Agree that Sam's tutorial is very good. I now use Gimp for a lot of other things - so thanks samwiseg !! EDIT: Most recent use was to reduce chaotic background (aren't cage bars a pain in photos?!) in these photos of Perry preening: Before: After: Link to related blog post

I hadn't thought about doing that with a background. Great idea.
