I'm pleased you've decided to keep her Jane, it really will settle. My lot have their moments but it passes Thanks skysmum. I’m hopeful it will. Chirpy is sitting next to Munchie tonight which is progress.

I'm really pleased you've changed your mind, Jane. She couldn't wish for a better home and I'm sure they will continue to settle down. The photo is very cute. I'm glad they are interacting. It's been a long process getting Dean Stockwell to settle with my other two but they are really getting along well now.

It’s difficult with an odd number as one seems left out. How long did it take your two to warm to Dean Stockwell? Munchies been with me 3 months so not long really.

Wow! a whole 3 months. Sorry Jane for the dig Jane. I had a set of three Mildred. Oscar and Kiwi for what seems like three years and more. Yes there does seem to be the odd one out at times especially when Mildred wanted a bit more attention nod, now, wink. They did live together happily most of the time, but, Mildred was a female. Bossy with it. Just let budgies be budgies they understand each other. You kust keep enjoyng the company.

So you have three as well Criswell? It’s difficult with an odd number as one seems left out. How long did it take your two to warm to Dean Stockwell? Munchies been with me 3 months so not long really. We had a different problem here. Dexter was more bonded to his peacock toy than to Randolph Carter so when Dean Stockwell came along Randolph Carter became friends with him very quickly and Dean Stockwell started to chase Dexter out of the cage. Whenever we saw him do that we'd send him home to his own cage and he learnt that if he wanted to stay in the big cage he had to behave himself. And Dexter started spending more time in the cage with them and less time outside with Miss Peacock as he didn't want to miss out on what was going on with the other two. Randolph Carter spends about equal time with the two of them now although he definitely preferred Dean Stockwell for a while and he is the bridge between them. They both talk to him more than they talk to each other. Randolph Carter is so much more contented now he has 2 friends. When Dexter was out of the cage Randolph Carter would squawk until he came back again but he's really settle down now he's not often left on his own in the cage. And it's nice for Dexter that he's spending more time with his budgie friends rather than a toy. And Dean Stockwell is very pleased to have budgie buddies again.
It took a couple of months for Dean Stockwell to settle down during the day in the big cage and it's taken more than 4 months before he's been able to sleep in the big cage with them. Last night was their first sleep over. I'm feeling a little bit anxious about how they'll be around each other when they wake up in the same cage. Dexter is always a bit full on in the morning so I'll supervise them closely when they first wake up.
I am very glad that Dean Stockwell came to live with us although there were many times when I did doubt that it was the right thing to do. But it has made a positive difference to both Randolph Carter and Dexter.

How is Munchie getting along now Jane ? She’s doing very well, thanks for asking Marianne. The other two tend to stick together but it doesn’t seem to bother Munch too much. She’s still very skittish around me but does sit near me when she’s in the cage and she can be very vocal when she wants to be 😆 I have tried uploading photos but I can’t for some reason. I’ll try later.
