Ok. Well if this is your only way of sending a receiving emails you will need it on.
I was under the impression you were using the Yahoo app rather than this one.
So am at a loss as to why it's happening I'm afraid
So go back and switch your email notifications back on

Only other thing I could suggest is chatting with Samsung online

The other thing to try, google yahoo email settings - it will show you the right incoming and outgoing wordings. If you go into Samsung on the net too, you can get the settings from there too, sent to your phone.
I had this way back with aol. My outgoing email settings were wrong somehow

So frustrating, I am getting 250 -300 junk emails a day and no matter what I do I cannot stop them. Good luck Jellybean.

Thanks Sue. When we bought a new laptop about 3 weeks ago, we took the Norton Internet Security for 3 devices.
Since it's been installed in the laptop and both of our mobile phones, I have not had any spam emails or any cold calls on my phone. In the Norton settings you can choose not to receive any calls from anyone who is not on your phones list.
I'M LOVING IT.

I've got Norton on laptop, phone and ipad but they still come through on hotmail. Gmail is fine.

It's an absolute pain Sue. Sometimes technology is more bother than its worth.

Totally agree, I am pretty good but I am just looking norton to see if it helps. They do go into my junk folder and I report them as phishing so I clutter their box up as well. Even blocking them does not help. Oh well

All phishing addresses gets reported. So my theory is if I send them they may stop them ONE day. I read that you do not click on the email to unsubscribe as it shows it's a live email address and they start again. 6 months ago it was Russian, Ukraine woman advertising themselves, at least they have stopped.

Nightmare. I think if I could do without mobiles and internet I would, but we rely on them for so much.
Technology moves too fast for me sometimes....or maybe I'm just getting too old to take it all in 😂😂
