I was just having a chat with Kiwi who seemed to be listening. He closed his eyes, as they do when listening. Next thing I know round goes the head and he snuggles into his feathers and off to sleep. Talk about being given the cold shoulder.

lol....I guess you need more stimulating conversation, however I think that the ability to talk a budgie to sleep is a real talent.

Have you ever had a budgie stare at you with both eyes. Frightening I can tell you. I tried talking Kiwi to sleep like the other day and that's when he looked straight at me with both eyes. I'm glad he was behind bars.Gulp!
You see he has this perch at the front of the cage and it is level with my nose. I usually have a quiet chat with him at bed time, normally he just sits and listens. I'm sure if he could have got to my nose he would have give it a bash at least.
I have tried taking pictures but I can't get him in the frame quick enough.
