I have a lutino female and an albino who I am PRETTY sure is male. No brown cere since I got them in August 2018. Anyhow I caught them mating Dec 6th. I am aware they might both be female. Got a vision breeding box just in case. both go into the box together for extended periods which I read males don't do, so I dunno. We have 7 eggs thus far, first laid on xmas eve, perhaps the 23rd, second laid xmas day, staggered by one or two days until the latest, laid today. Serious incubation began after the third egg, on the 27th. Here's some candling pics of a few of the more likely looking ones. Any of you more experienced folks think they look fertile? I'm thinking no. How long after incubation begins before you begin to see results?

I agree, not fertile. After 3-4 days of incubation you should see a tiny pink dot which is the embryo forming.

Hi Guys. I am new to budgie breeding. My female (Molly) has laid 5 eggs in total. After candling them between day 5-8, 3 looked fertile. However, according to my egg chart, egg number 5 is due to hatch today, but still NO chicks have hatched yet. 2 of the eggs started turning a grey color. Are they infertile? should I remove them from the box? Any advise would be appreciated. The eggs were laid on the following dates: 1: 7 March 2020 2: 9 March 2020 3: 11 March 2020 4: 12 March 2020 5: 16 March 2020 She only started incubating once she laid egg nr 2

Give her another day or two and then either leave it up to her to abandon the eggs or remove them for her. In the long run, it can be less stressful to leave it up to the hen to realise that her eggs are not going to hatch.

I was on another forum and came accross this. Might be helpful in the future but I'm sure mine where all white the last time and only 2/5 hatched
