I have a pair of budgies, that I originally thought was a male and female bonded pair, but I now know that I have two males. I would like to add another bird or two, would it be ok to add a female or two, or will it stress the birds since they are a bonded pair? Or should I just get a few more male birds? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Whatever you add the dynamics will surely change, so that choice is totally up to you. A hen, or two, really will be like putting the cat among the pigeons. Also with hens you do need to be up to speed on how to deal with egg laying, chronic egg laying, egg binding and possible fights as hormones come into play. Hens are wonderful little creatures but if you aren't terribly experienced you may wish to go the more steady route of having a cage with only males.
