That is so lovely suesbird you must have a lot of patience! It looks like one from a shop, how long did it take to do roughly? It must have been ages!

thanks took me a couple of months, about 3 hours a day. I have other things on the go at the same time. I'm cross stitching a tiger which I reckon will take me about a year to do😳. I just do it at night as it's going to be big!!! Hope you can make out his mouth and nose

Is that you in your avatar samwiseg? What kind of bird is that on the shoulder?

Yes it is Marianne Marlow and the parrot on my shoulder is bigger than a budgie, not quite sure perhaps an Amazon? Here is the full picture so you can see it clearer:

Haven't been about much lately (have felt very lazy) but have been doing some more drawings! Have done this one (it's just graphite, pencil no colour): Currently, am in the middle of doing a tiger (I actually was thinking about this before suesbird showed us her wonderful cross stitch picture) I just didn't know if I was brave enough to try it! But have taken the plunge. Will show it once finished. Anyone else been doing anything?

samwiseg I love the elephant - graphite is perfect for it. Can't wait to see your completed tiger. suesbird the decorations are gorgeous, the red and white colour combination is really effective. I bet they'll look great on your Christmas tree. Strange to think what our lives will be like by then. Nothing new created here apart from far too much cake, which of course had to be eaten Getting back to the arts and crafts would be far better for my waistline
