samwiseg we have a song thrush who sings in the evening and they do a mean phone impersonation too! Makes me want to look up the lyrebird videos - they are amazing mimics!

Oh am a real lyrebird fan myself! Love watching David A's life of birds quite frequently. Having said that we haven't watched it in a while now so now might be just the time to again

Ooh, that's an idea! I think some of his work is on Netflix, and my housemate has a bunch of it on DVD.
