This is personally just my opinion - not judgemental in any sense for anyone & don't want it to get controversial too ๐. I can't probably understand the breeding at young ages, for any reason.
Breeding birds is much better than the trafficking of the birds at pet shop. But, breeding to exploit is the last thing I would like to imagine. The same things when happen with humans, they call it exploitation. It all ends at what's best for the bird.
You are looking at proper age of breeding, that's good to know. But, I would say don't get swayed away by what is popular and common, ever in future. Not everything popular and common can be considered good. That's all I would like to say. All the best with the breeding and wish healthy babies and parents.๐งก๐

Agree, mona. Even primary producers, that is our farmers and graziers, who breed animals for profit don't breed their stock underage. A hen who is purposely put to breeding at a young age before her body is fully mature is not going to be a well cared for or long living bird.
