She's in a ferplast pet carrier, with a ladder, a lid of water, basil leaf, stuffing herself with red millet. I've ordered a cage for Wednesday. I may let her out when Eve has gone to bed.

It's not ideal, of course, but she'll survive in that for a day. She'll have plenty more days of a more suitable cage and lots of loving care from you, Marianne.

I'm going to see if I can adapt my spare cage to house her in tonight, just concerned that she's not used to such a large cage and may fall and cause everyone to have a night fright. Hard to know what to do! It's not ideal, of course, but she'll survive in that for a day. She'll have plenty more days of a more suitable cage and lots of loving care from you, Marianne.

Anything I give her is better than she had before.

Exactly. And it's one day. Maybe you could really layer up the bottom nearly to the door so that there's way less height?

What did her previous owner keep her in Marianne Marlow? I hope that you’ve found a suitable cage for her and if the earliest it can be delivered is Wednesday then at least you know she’ll only be in your adapted cage for two nights. I’m glad she’s eating well. Hopefully she’ll respond well to someone prepared to give her the care she needs. Again, well done. I have always received so much pleasure from rehoming animals and she’s lucky to have had you see the advert and collect her so quickly.

He kept her in some sort of home made small aviary with perspex on the outside and lots of nest boxes inside. It was hard to tell what was going on inside to be honest. It was on his balcony. He'd been handfeeding any chicks, possibly to sell off as tame budgies for a price. What did her previous owner keep her in Marianne Marlow? Marianne Marlow Couldn't appreciate more on getting her.. she is at the right place.. In the spare cage, can the perches be arranged very low towards the cage bottom for 2 days?

Poor little love. Sounds like she was a commodity and bred extensively. She’s going to have a lovely life now.
