Could anyone tell me if i can cure him myself? Really no avian vet in the whole country, and one vet just told my sister "its probably going to die, nothing to do"

That’s distressing to watch , I wonder if putting him a bathroom and filling it with steam would help? Hezz?

This is so sad, i would suggest treating her for crop mites, Ivermectin 0.1% if you can get it. I would also give her Iodine in her water, liquid alcohol free iodine, 3 drops in 100mls water, she could be iodine deficient, has she got an iodine block in her cage? If these don't work its a respiratory infection and she will need antibiotics, sorry that's all i can suggest but i fear it may be too late for the little one

I really think this may be a respiratory infection due to the clicking sounds he makes when breathing. First thing tomorrow i'll try to get AB.

Any of the above suggestions are worth a try. Is there any discharge from the nostrils, coughing or sneezing more than normal? I am not convinced it is a respiratory infection, it seems to fit more with the symptoms of air sac mites, which I’ve not had the dubious pleasure of having to deal with. Not many have as it is not that common in birds housed inside. Ivermectin 0.1% with the drop placed on the skin in the chest region rather than the back of the neck as you would for scaly mites.

He sneezes a lot but no nazal discharge, and he makes clicking sounds when breathing. It seems like he's struggling to breathe :,(

The clicking sounds while breathing could be due to either air sac mites or iodine deficiency, as well as respiratory infection.
I would try the Ivermectin once a week for three weeks, add iodine tincture to the water for a week and see if that makes any difference, the antibiotic of choice from other vets for respiratory infections seems to be Baytril.
Air sac mites can be a dodgy thing to treat if the infestation is heavy as the killed mites can stay in either the air sacs themselves or the bottom of the lungs and cause as much problem dead as they did alive.

I went to the university veterinary clinic, showed them the videos, and they gave me antibiotics for chikens. They said it's probably pneumonia, and there is no reason to use ivermectin since the birds are being kept inside. They also suggested to give my other three AB for three days, just to prevent those microorganisms to be transmitted. Chippy is getting treatment for 10 days, (3rd day today). My sister makes steam for him, and get him to play with his water bowl so he could drink the AB needed. He seems to be better, but i think it's early to tell, for he has 7 more days of treatment.

Please keep in touch and let us know how he is. Good luck with the treatment.

Glad to know that you are getting some sort of help with him. As they have said air sac mites are an unlikely scenario if the birds are kept inside all the time, but if he is only new to you he may already have had them before he came to you. Antibiotics are better straight into the beak for budgies as they aren’t big drinkers. I’m glad you are managing to get him to take some.

Just posting an update on Chippy's condition. Apparently the AB didn't work its job, so i took Chippy to the vet (this was the 8th day of his treatment) . They put a drop of ivermectin 0.05% on his neck and gave me a syringe with the solution. Here is the strange part: the vet said to put two drops in his water bowl, every third day for 2 weeks. Given the lack of experience of working with budgies (as i was told by them), i really doubt whether to rely on their words; i mean should budgies really drink that? Yesterday i was supposed to put ivermectin in his bowl, but i dropped some on his neck instead. Don't know what to do really..

Also the vet gave me some other AB, but i'm afraid it could be too soon to treat him again..? I'm thinking it may be bad for his digestive system
