She hasn't been well, she is puffed up, sleeps most of the time and her droppings are a bit mushy, although she is still eating and drinking but not as much and she is still looking after herself with preening etc. I have been using GA for a week in the hope of giving her a boost but there's no apparent improvement.
I've noticed that when she has her head tucked in on the right, there is a pronounced pulsating at the top of her chest on the left, I assume it is one of her air sacs, however her breathing is quiet.
I'm not looking forward to it and I don't think she'll enjoy it much either but I'll let you know how we get on.

Oh stevex all I can do is wish you luck at the vets. Its not the best but hopefully something can be sorted - is it an avian vet you are going to?

Thanks everyone. It was quite funny when I separated her from Louie and put her in the travel cage. He was flying between the main cage and play gym, whistling as if saying "why are you in there, where are you going?", and Dewey was looking back and had a few tweets, which was the first time for a couple of weeks. As you all know, visits to the vets can be risky, there's always the chance that it could be a one way trip but I'm glad to say that the trip went well. I was so proud that Dewey behaved while she was being examined and she wasn't too stressed out. The vet said that Dewey was slightly underweight, although she's always been small compared to Louie. She didn't find any worrying lumps but could hear a slight crackling when she listened to her. She then recommended that a blood sample was taken to check for chlamydophila (psittacosis)as a precaution. When we got back, she was soon back with Louie and celebrated with a good feed of millet and seed because she hadn't eaten all afternoon... neither had I! She is now on a course of Baytril, just given her the first dose, to deal with any infection. I've also got some EmerAid Intensive Care Omnivore, which is a food supplement which can help with weight gain and recovery. I should get the result of the blood test in a couple of days. As I look at them now, Louie is doing his duty and pampering her with a good face preen.

Emeraid is pretty good. I used that with Sky when he had AGY and also Custard when he was really ill.
I hope she doesn't have Psittacosis and that the antibiotics help her.
Glad that Louie is pampering Dewey.

I used a syringe. They were very ill and not eating at the time.
