Chipper did a dropping in the middle of the floor, it was fully formed and looked ok, but when I cleaned it up, I noticed that it was a bit yellow. He's behaving okay, eating, drinking, singing, playing. Is this a baby budgie thing or should I be concerned? I thought his droppings looked pretty normal overnight, I only noticed the colour of these because I picked them up when wet, so they smudged on the tissue. He is about 9 weeks old now. I think.

Maybe the yellow was from the corn he was eating?

He did eat a lot yesterday, but I don't think any of the others had this issue. I'll check them tomorrow and see if the droppings have changed. Thanks Maybe the yellow was from the corn he was eating?

My little Buddy's droppings change color if he's been eating alot of one thing or another. Interestingly, Tweetie Pie's don't. I always contributed it to a difference in each birds' digestion system.

how are his droppings since? had he drunk a lot of water today - maybe a combo of corn and water?

That is interesting, I wonder why they are different! My little Buddy's droppings change color if he's been eating alot of one thing or another. Interestingly, Tweetie Pie's don't. I always contributed it to a difference in each birds' digestion system. I've not been able to work out which droppings were his throughout the day, but I'll be able to see his overnight droppings in the morning. I didn't give them any veg today, so if his droppings are yellow again that could be an issue how are his droppings since? had he drunk a lot of water today - maybe a combo of corn and water?

A number of poops from around the same time that may seem odd, especially if a new food has been added (or a lot of one thing), aren’t cause for concern in my opinion, particularly coming from a young bird whose digestive system is most likely still acclimatising to new foods in the diet.
If they went on for a few days like that, I would start to be concerned.

Thanks Hezz, hope you're right then and it's just a young budgie thing. This mornings droppings (they were fully formed like the bottom one, but I squished them as I was picking them up)

Is it veg day? Maybe don’t let him have any?

I'd feel bad doing that. They have dill today, and he's already had some, so it'll be interesting seeing if his droppings are any different from that. They did look slightly less yellow this morning I think. Is it veg day? Maybe don’t let him have any?

Herbs should be ok. Or wonder if egg helps, it does in humans if loose …
Max loves scrambled egg, maybe Chip would copy

Because all my pans are stainless steel, anything fried sticks to the bottom so I don't fry things anymore. How do you make scrambled eggs? Herbs should be ok. Or wonder if egg helps, it does in humans if loose … Max loves scrambled egg, maybe Chip would copy

I had a ceramic pan, so it should be similar. Literally break an egg into a bowl. Beat a few mins with a fork. Put your pan on the heat, let it heat up and then pour egg into pan, using wooden or plastic spatula immediately, to mix it and keep doing it, so it forms into small bits and not omelette. Although if it does just cut it up. It takes about 3 or 4 minutes max.
It should be fine in your pan. Ceramics are non stick but no ptfe etc.
