Well she fed them again Some, at least Birds are confusing 😂
Also, guess who learned to nibble on millet? These chicks!
Anyone know if it’s ok to offer them bits of veg or boiled egg etc at this age? 3 weeks?
Also I caught Bumble flinging himself out of the nest box so it’s definitely not Mum doing it! 😬😂

My two guys are regular budgies - one weighs 30 gms and the other 29 gms! And mine are over 2yrs old! It looks like one is yellow and the other mostly white with a little blue? So cute. Maybe they move to your hand because its warm.

Latest update! So I’ve taken over feeding them completely a couple of days ago, as One late morning found them both out of the nest and not fed. Now maybe mum would still have gone back and fed them (she had an off day last week too) but at this point they’re old enough and I’ve had enough practice that I feel comfortable feeding them myself, so why not. They are both doing well, and have learned to eat really well out of a bendy spoon so no faffing around with syringes. They enjoy being held by everyone in t(e family, getting scritches and getting their beak into things. Bumble is nicknamed WD40 Because he is constantly squeaking (he’s fine, he gets enough to eat, stops by himself, I weigh him regularly etc he is just… squeaky.) Here are some photos. Bumble is 4 weeks old today, Nugget a bit over 3.5 weeks.

They are both sooooo cute and pretty colors! I read somewhere that dad teaches the chicks to eat seeds. Does he come visit them? Not sure when they start eating seeds though. Its just so lovely that they aren't fearful of people.

No they are out of the cage completely, but they were begging dad for food that day I found them unfed and he was ignoring them. they are picking on millet already though, I’m sure they will pick it up. If they seem to have trouble I have a laid back youngster I can put in with them to “demonstrate” later.
