Sorry i'm late on parade Hezz It's a VERY HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY from me and mine, glad you had a nice day And a new house, how lovely, hope those birdy's approve Thanks skysmum. I think the little ones are happy enough, but Loki as lost out a bit in that he doesn’t have Spyro’s company at will or another perching station in the main part of the house. On the plus side , it would appear that he is a bit more accommodating towards Piper who is a sweetie but no so much Bunji who is giving me the run around in their room. He has taken to treating the taxi stick with disdain, hopping on only to fly straight off again. Little monkey's, it's all about the new norm for them, and you really, takes a while for things to all slot into place. Glad is mainly ok. Will they have their outside aviary up in the new garden?

Unfortunately the aviary had to be left behind, but there is an area that should work for the birds - a carport/lean-to off the side of the shed, close to the house that will just require closing in. It shouldn’t be too difficult. At the moment it is a matter of funding: I’m trying not to spend any more than is needed at the moment as there are a few more important requirements for any even slightly loose money.

Hezz Another very late Happy Birthday from me! Exciting news about the house move. One question though, have you managed to bring the crackle of cockatoos from the old place? Or will they be looking crossly at the new owners wondering where breakfast is?

I did lessen off on the feeding before we left, but oddly enough I miss my “chooks”, the scrub turkeys. They are here but haven’t seen them in the numbers and of course they are not Mr Cranky and “The Girls”. Loki is happy to not have the cockatoos landing right outside his window, though, so that gives me pause for thought. I won’t encourage them here, as I do have a different array of birds to observe. Unfortunately there is a fence around most of the house area (prev owners had dogs) so we don’t have the through traffic of wildlife that I’m used to. Not much garden had been planted, so I’m looking at getting some smaller shrubs to attract the three B’s - birds, bees and butterflies.

Is Mac settling in Hezz, new surroundings and smells for him too 🐕 Oh, JB, Mac has gone to a new home. We couldn’t handle his anxiety all night every night any more, one of us having to sit up with him all night. We tried an array of different medications for him and couldn’t rule out that there might have been something in our environment that may have been making him worse. We agonised over the decision for ages, many talks back and forth with the vet and thought the best thing for him was the chance of a new home. We adopted him out through the group we got him from, they were happy to act as go-between and we know that he has been adopted again, and can only wish him and his new family well. I hope he has a better life now, and a lot less anxiety.

I'm sorry Hezz, and sorry if I've upset you by asking after him. I remember you mentioning Mac had some issues. I hope he settles and is happy in his new home.

I'm so sorry you had to find Mac a new home, but well done in doing what was best for him. I hope his anxiety settles.
