I am so sad tonight on hearing about the passing of our beloved Queen.
You worked tirelessly your whole life to serve out great country.
You made me so proud to be BRITISH.
I will miss you dearly.
Rest in Peace your Majesty.

Very sad indeed. Given only 2 days ago she was meeting with Luz Truss, shocked me

She was one of a kind, we will never see her like again.
I've cried since hearing the news.

When I saw newsreaders in black, I thought imminent, but I think it had happened

Really sad news. She was a history-making Queen and we’ve lived in the second Elizabethan era and I’m so proud of that. She really did devote her life to her duty, right up to a matter of 48 hours before her death. She will always be remembered for so much, but I’m especially happy she got to experience the love and affection for her during the Platinum Jubilee and that many younger generations will remember her, even when living in the reign of King Charles III and King William V, from her fabulous surprise of having tea with Paddington and keeping her marmalade sandwich in her handbag. She was and will always remain our greatest monarch. I like to think of her reunited with Prince Phillip now. Rest in peace your Majesty and thank you for all you have done during the 70 years of your reign.

The rest of the world mourns with you. She is the model of grace and dignity for people especially for all world leaders.
Of course all of us here love that she loved budgies!

I agree with all you have said.
She always conducted herself with dignity and decorum. Her whole life was dedicated to service, she couldn't even pop out to the shops for a pint of milk like we could.
It made me so sad that she could not sit with her family for her husband's funeral in April 2021. How awful for her.
At least she is now reunited with Philip.
I hope she gets a statue or massive memorial, she certainly deserves it.

I hope this is not seen as too trivial, but I watched that snip of tea with Paddington and then saw this as it ended. Not even sure how I found it, but I thought it really sweet.

Not too trivial Hezz. If it's about the Queen, I am sure it can be included in this thread. She did seem to have a sense of humour.

Definitely not trivial, it was great seeing her humour and love that illustration
