Gave the budgies some wet basil this morning. Peter decided to have a bath and to my surprise, so did George! George has not had a bath since his stroke in June 2021, so it was a bit of a shock to me that he did today. His balance is not the best, but he compensates by flapping his wings to keep upright when he needs to.    |

Good for them ! Mine still stare at a bath and either drink from it or poop in it so they get a spray instead not that they are keen on that in the beginning but love to be cool and less itchy especially when they are moulting and yes I close the window so they don’t get a draft…it’s just me who gets hot then !

There's nothing better than seeing a budgie completely soaked after a bath, especially like Peter in the third pic. That reminds me, I must get the giant drinking trough, er, I mean bath out for mine tomorrow. |
