I'm based in the Hertfordshire area, and I have a 6 year old male budgie named Whistle who I very unfortunately cannot keep at home anymore. I'm looking for experienced keepers or rescues with other budgies who would be able to take him.

Health
- Whistle is in very good health and has never had any health issues
- He had mites when he was around half a year old (see this thread) but he was treated for them and has never had them since then
- He moults quite regularly
- He has been seen by an exotics vet a few times as a checkup and has always been in good health
Diet
- Whistle has been raised on a seed diet, and has been eating Living World premium budgie seed for a long time. We occasionally feed him millet from a millet spray
- He's also been regularly fed green leaves and occasionally apple slices
- He does eat pellets, but not as his main diet
Hand taming and socialising
- Whistle is not hand tame, although he is used to having hands near him
- He has been picked up and handled when he was treated for mites, when he's been checked by a vet, and when we've weighed him
- For 4 and a half years Whistle had a female budgie as a friend, but she sadly died and we very unfortunately weren't able to get new budgies at that time
- For the past year and a half he has been on his own with a number of different mirrors for company, and has still seemed happy and himself
Environment and flight
- Whistle has been living indoors his whole life, with a medium sized cage to sleep and eat in
- He has spent four days a week in a curtained enclosure around his cage, and three days a week out in a room with high perches to fly up to from his cage
