This forum is an oasis of calm and friendliness. And knowledge! One of my favourite places to be.

Glad to hear that. Where would we be without Chocobo and her amazing wisdom? This forum is an oasis of calm and friendliness. And knowledge! One of my favourite places to be.

Happy Anniversary, Forum. I, too, knew it was coming but of course missed the actual day (*head slap*). Thank you everyone for, well, everything. Some forums are full of snipey, snide remarks directed towards both humans and feathereds which I don’t like either, plus full of rubbish advice which, of course, ours isn’t! That’s a poke at myself, people, because of course we all get it wrong at times. I previously used another forum, where one member rarely posted without groaning or "jokingly" insulting her birds in some way.
It's one thing to have a snide/snarky "sense of humor" (which is the explanation that I often hear from such people). However, it becomes disturbing if you can't make one post without calling your birds "brainless", "stupid", or complaining about some aspect of life with them. Disturbing in my opinion, anyway. If a person's birds are making them so annoyed and frustrated every day, it can't be a good arrangement for anyone.

That does sound odd, insulting your birds in every post. I can't say that my birds don't sometimes annoy me, but it's not all the time Happy Anniversary, Forum. It does make me wonder why some people have birds or other pets.
