Hi, at the moment i use a 1 litre hanging feeder in my aviary but there seems to be so much waste, they scatter the seed everywhere. I'm in the process of revamping the aviary and just wandered which feeders you other aviary owners use.

The last one looks amazing. It even has a grill from where the husk will drop in the tub. Great improvisation

I quite like this one. I'd love to see all 8 fiends in a row eating happily from it. But of course they don't co-operate like that! ;D

We got this feeder from the bird show in Stafford from a dealer from Kent.....we thought it would be perfect for the limited space we have in the outdoor flight.....it has a small flap at the bottom that can be lifted up and what the budgies don't eat can be brushed into a pan..... do they work!!!

Not sure yet Gaile....as we have not put it up in the aviary nor do we have budgies in it at the moment....but based on the design and reviews from others we spoke to at the show they seem to do the job.....

I need to get some new seed dishes for my aviary, as at least one of the newer budgies keeps knocking them off, so this thread has given me some good ideas

Thanks everyone, i do like the look of Kath and gaz's, its just amazing how much seed i sweep up and throw away, at least you could possibly collect what they waste and blow away the shuck, if it was clean of course. Ive noticed since having the tube feeders indoors there isn't half the waste. If all else fails i could use those until i can source something else, i quite like Barries as well.

They fit exactly across the "service" door opening and are easy to blow out. The fact that they fit into the service door opening, I think, but may be wrong, stops them from being knocked off. You could fit an easy four feeding in a row along these, Marianne.
