Just got home, disapointed not to see my letter in the C&A today.
While i was sorting the 20kg bags of seed i notice there is rips in the bag that have been patched up with selotape, im disgusted with this even the batch number and use by date is rubbed off. Im sick of complaining to bucktons!! And really its not there fault its the suppliers fault.

Well its nice to see the Java chicks fledged and darting in and out of the box!
2 Boxes full of budgies chicks also with my father, in one nest he has alot of YF BLUES.
I will try and post up a photo tomorrow of a dark grey normal that was bred from a spangle cock and normal hen, the feathering on the bird is strange for a pet type.

Since packing in the budgies and giving them to my father its left me with more time when i have it to dedicate to the finches, i will be putting down 2 pairs of zebs and 1 pair of bengalese to breed soon. The Bengalese are in good condition to breed now the cock is singing his head off and the hen is plucking her feathers. All Java chicks have fledged, it can get very hectic in the java cages when they fledge.

Well just bought in my 2012 outcross for the Javas its a normal pied hen, very nice bird, good size, little dirty on the cheek patches but can be cleaned up easy using a cleaned cheeked cock.

I will be looking closely at the Javas tomorrow to see what is good and whats not, i know that one or two are down a tad bit on overall size, hence the bigger outcross i have brought in, the outcross i bought is a normal pied hen very very good bird not the best in markings but it has the pied gene so this bird may get paired to a very good fawn pied cock i bred that excells in head markings and body markings! I will be attempting father x daughter and mother to son pairings also as i have heard this cant throw off good chicks, we will see.

I haven't spent anytime in with the birds today, to busy with work. Day off tomorrow to get a load of things done in there!
Bought a brand new hoover yesterday for the shed, my old one packed in, not surprised there!
Tomorrow im going to finish off my breeding cages for the Cockatiels, when your working none stop its tough to get things done but atleast it will be done good.
I also have to put a good flooring covering down in the shed i was thinking hardboard with square floortiles that stick down.

Last night with the Budgies tonight, sad to see them go but i havent got the shame love for them as i did, breeders put me off them also so ill be glad when they are gone. Im looking forward to not worrying about shutting the windows up in the night so the budgies dont start chirping at silly hour in the morning!
Im looking forward to gutting more cages and rebuilding better ones with no cracks, built a stack of 4 breeders today measuring 24inch long by 12 inch deep, these will be for the Finches i will be building another stack of 4 soon when i have the wood, that will give me 8 breeding cages and 2 36 inch long by 12inch deep flights for breeding the cherrys and mannakins, i will be decorating these flights with artificial plants to give them added security and comfort! I will be keeping one of my flights measuring 4 foot long by 2 foot deep and 3 foot tall, and ill also be keeping my other all wire flight measuring the same. I will have 2 storage areas and 1 work top to do prep etc. The 1 storage area will be boxed off with doors and the other will be open as it will store my seed bins, show cages, carry cages, and nestboxes. the other storage area will house mainly seed bags.
Theres alot to get done, no birds are breeding there all chicks in the breeders ready to come out soon! So all the Javas and zebs and bengalese will be in there flights over winter untill march.
Stay tuned guys, the moluccan manakins and cherry finches are coming tomorrow i can not wait!!
