Hi guys. Exhibition budgies are an alternate universe from me but just wondered what what would the guidelines be to show a lacewing budgie? Eg markings etc, not that I'm palnning on entering the exhibitors world any time soon as frankly it baffles me but woul be nice to know

Hi Sweetie every show bird regardless of variety must be in perfect condition, complete in feather, standing at a angle of 30 degrees from the vertical and looking fearless........the lacewing be it yellow or white must have 6 evenly spaced cinnamon spots, the frontal and crown should be clear of markings, primary flights should be pale cinnamon brown with a minimal yellow/white edge, tail cinnamon brown with a cinnamon brown quill,

That would be fine Barrie if you were willing to do it. I wouldn't be looking to get one just yet so could get a bigger cage before then. Are they really the size of cockatiels? Lol that's biiiiiig . Would it be safe to keep Sweetie with a bird that much bigger than her? Also what woul the ideal cage dimensions be? Thanks
