BB has a "special" mix and very spoiled budgies. Which we love of course! All budgies should have nice stuff.

I also use Trill. I'm a bit annoyed though, as I can no longer get the 2kg packs, only the more expensive 500g packs. Grrr...

If i was a pet owner in the UK i would use a 50/50 mix from John Haiths Seedsand a small bag of their budgie tonic, the ideal mix is 50 % of plain canary and 50% of at least three mixed millets

The aviary budgies have a seed mix called continental mix from a local seed place called bamfords. The same for the house budgies apart from Holly who has trill because she needs the extra nutrients

We just bought a sack of 'Special' budgie seed, recommended to us by the store, neither of us had our glasses with us so couldn't read the ingredients till we got back home! and it only contained white millet and canary seed so it's on its way back going back to using trill, it might be more expensive but I'm not risking the other.

Don't think you can buy Trill in bulk Julie. Have a look at Haiths web site, I'm going to take Barries advice and mix my own, I hope this is ok, 5 kg White millet, 5 kg Red millet, 5 kg yellow millet, 12.5 kg Canadian canary seed and 2 kg Tonic seed. This comes to £56.50 compared to the same weight in Trill £93.22. A massive saving if anyone is watching pennies as we are at the moment.
