I'm currently learning French and I thought it would be a good idea if we could talk about and in other languages here..

Can you speak other languages apart from your mother tongue?
So many people seem to speak English, all over the world. It humbles me. Which is why I decided to learn French.

I used to speak Italian fairly well. Almost or perhaps conversational with a few gaps here and there. But I've let it lapse.
I learnt French (and Latin, eek!) at school for three years, but that is now a very very long time ago, so it's a bit of haze now. I've still got the basic grammar stuck in my head somewhere, just takes a while to find it. Vocab has gone. (J'ai trouvé le "thingy" sur la "thingy".)
I can order food and drinks and seek basic directions in a very stumbling manner in Spanish and German. Can't understand the answers to those question though!
I love learning languages. Just don't have the time.
