Does anyone use Calcivet? Am just wondering whether it might be a good idea for me to get some for the Swann. All views welcome! Thanks

I have a hen at the moment that is having trouble perching, she is on calcivet directly into her crop.
Every bird needs calcivet and D3 , mix 5 ml into 500 ml of water , keep in the fridge and give all your birds this water only for the first week of every month.

Barrie, as ever, you are a total legend. Thanks!
I'll order some from Bird care Co. Will probably get a small pack of Feast softfood too while am at it...

Barrie would you please look at the dosage again. Did i get it wrong BB ? 4 teaspoons at 5 ml into 2 litres of water I know you will be the last person to get it wrong but wanted to make it clear as "mix 5 ml into 0.500 ml" looked like more Calcivet less water. I thought you meant 500 ml of water and not 0.500 ml. I hope I am right.

IF YOUR BIRDS ARE LAYING EGGS OWAIN AND NOT RECEIVING ENOUGH SUNSHINE THEY THEN WILL NEED TO PULL ON THEIR RESERVE CALCIUM WHICH IS STORED IN THEIR BONES, THIS THEN MAY CAUSE EGG BINDING WHICH OF COURSE CAN BE AVOIDED BY SUPPLYING CALCIVET.

I dont use it Barrie, never had a problem. I just prefer to keep it all simple and basic.
