Out of the 4 babies that have come out of the nest 2 Of them had completely black beaks and ceres. As they have got older they are fading to what they were and normal beak colour is showing through now. I've taken a picture of one of them to show you. Will try and get better pics. Is this normal or could it indicate something wrong with the liver?

My Pebbles had a black beak when we got him (he's a normal cobalt). It was gone about a month later. I love black baby beaks

you said Barrie you've noticed this more on greys/grey greens and starling said cobalt do you think this could be linked to the "Dark factor"??
