Mont used to do that to my finger nail, I think she thought it was another beak?! But I would love to know what it means Im pretty sure it really has something to with excitement and courting, they do it a lot when they are breeding, my dear old George got so carried away with this behaviour when him and sky were breeding (several years ago)that he fell off his perch . Sorry George, had to tell them . Oh Skysmum! XD That made me laugh! It reminds me of when Munchy tries to mate with one of his cat balls. He does the head bobbing and the tapping, and then he grips it in his feet and shakes it and starts flicking out his wings to wraps around it... And then he loses his balance and goes rolling across the floor... X'D

Definitely agree with Skysmum - courting behavior, nod, nod. Oh dear now all the silly-sex stories can come out. So I may as well join in ...... Bluey was so in love with my big toe nail. Firstly my toenail would end up with a crop-full of seed, after much nail-tapping. Then He would sit up on the top of my foot and get carried away ...... digging his claws in to hang on! Oww! That used to hurt! If I wriggled my foot and toe around it only made him worse - I think he thought his "budgie" was responding!
