Those sad little birds in those unsuitable cages with hardly any toys. I would get them but it's too far away from me, it would be nice to see them go to a good home.

I was told the yellow was 6 months and no idea on the blue one.

It would be great if you could get them and give them a decent life. They look so lost and lonely in those barren cages. If you got the cages too you could sell them for more than you paid for them. Cages go for good money on Ebay, and they don't look old.

I'm not far from you, I live on the Romney marsh but I don't drive. Ironically my parents live in Gravesend and we are going there on Friday to take my dad to find out what kind of Dementia he has. I wish I had time to stop off and get the birds but it will be pretty full on with my mum, dad and sister all there to hear my dads death sentence.

Sadly there are so many ill kept birds for sale on sites like gumtree and preloved :-( I don't suppse alot of the time they end up anywhere better.

Absolutely Nat, I got 4 little boys from pre loved. They were in a tiny hamster cage. One died the day after I got them, just dropped dead at my feet when I walked into the aviary, another, I have since found out has French moult and another was really old and died last week of old age, we've only had them 5 months. Bit of a baptism of fire for my first aviary.

Aw, that rings a bell with me as most of mine I started with were from either bad homes or pet shop cast offs with french moult, health probs or basically bald budgies that nobody wanted :-( On the good side though I had to do so much research on health and disease at the time I really learned alot. The bad side was probably 90 % didn't live to an average life expectancy :-(

I wish more people would show animals more respect. It breaks my heart. We're supposed to be enlightened, but I wonder sometimes.

Here, here, Stace! If we're supposed to be so clever, why can't so many people understand the basic needs of the animals that they take into their homes? They're supposed to be part of our families!

nope...i said i buy the birds but they did not want to sale just the birds...guess they more intrested about money than the birds..
