Stacey are you in Bath? Because there are several avian vets nearby: The Veterinary Surgery 32 West Hill Portishead Bristol BS20 9LN Tel: 01275 847400 Zetland Veterinary Hospital 32 Zetland Road Redland Bristol BS6 7AB Tel: 0117 9445111 or 01454 250111 And one in Stroud which isn't TOO far: Lansdown Veterinary Surgeons Clockhouse Vererinary Hospital Wallbridge Stroud GL5 3JD Tel: 01453 756065 Apologies if I have got the wrong end of the stick here... Really hope you can get some good help for Sid. Hiya, thanks for the links. Unfortunately a lot of what the internet says is incorrect... I have definitely tried ringing the first and second numbers before (and many others on the internet) but they had no avian vets there. I don't think I have tried ringing the Stroud one though so I will definitely give that go. Cheers

Currently Sid is still very happy... but if at any time I see a change in this I will consider having him put to sleep because I don't want to put him through anymore stress than he's already suffered. Thankyou again Stacey You think about it too soon Stacey. It is necessary to manage his beak growth for the time being. And an opinion of a vet could help us. Ales It's only that this has been going on so long now, he's had so many health problems and I've treated him for so many things. He really hates me trying to shorten his beak... I just don't want to see him suffer
