I've been off work all week with what I thought was a kidney infection. Just got my lab results back and they were clear for infection so now I don't know what's wrong but I still feel poo. I have MS and when I have a kidney infection certain symptoms flare up which is why I thought this was a kidney infection. Now I've got a numb leg and foot, I'm knackered and generally weak but no explanation. I've got a horrible feeling this is going to take ages to sort out. Waiting for a doctor to phone me back. At least I have Daley for company

I'm sorry to hear this. My husband's aunt had MS, so I know how frustrating this condition can be. I keep hearing that there are hopes they might figure this disease out soon. I hope so.

Thanks. I've been diagnosed 10 years now and am still mobile and generally well so I think I'm very lucky. Fatigue's a pain in the bum though.
The doctor wants to see me at 4pm so hopefully he'll have some idea of what's going on.

Sorry to hear that Toffee. I was tested for that because I had odd symptoms for a good week, it turned out to be form of epilepsy. Nothing I can't live with it's just taking medication for the rest of my days. Chin up, and I wish you the best.

Daley is the best tonic you can get. I hope you get some answers from the doctor.

Well the doctor says it's my MS and not a kidney infection. So no cure for my symptoms just rest and another week off work. I'm bored silly already, there's only so much daytime TV I can take!!!! I'll be hanging around the forum plenty though. My mission for next week is to get Daley to sit on my shoulder. Managed it once this week but he hasn't done it again. A full weeks intensive training should help.

Take care of yourself. Meditation might help your fatigue levels especially a healing one like the Metta Bhavana (loving kindness). Also daytime tv is dreadful but if you have the history channel look out for a programme called 'Duck Dynasty' it's hilarious. It's about the hillbilly family of multi-millionaires who invented the duck calling whistle. I really didn't think there were really people like them. So funny.

My Occupational Therapist has suggested relaxation techniques which work to a point but I find it difficult to make time to do them. I need to remember to stop and relax at times throughout the day. I think this latest episode is my body telling me "stop!" so I need to listen but I'm not very good at "stopping".

Sorry this isn't something that can be "fixed", Toffee. All I can do is wish you well, and send lots of positive vibes your way ......... hope you catch them.

Thank you everyone for your kind replies. Oh, and I've now got oral thrush as well. Yum!! I guess that's just more proof that I'm run down and need to rest. I have to pick up yummy mouth rinse tomorrow to get rid of it. Great.

You said it - more proof you need to take time for yourself. Take care.

I'm with Hezz, you must start to live within your capabilities. I know because I have to these days. Different circumstances but the end result is the same. The brain thinks it can do everything it has always done, but the body knows different.

Having a relaxing morning this morning. Some light housework this afternoon.
Thankfully I'm feeling well now, the only problem is my leg feels like it doesn't belong to me. Such is life... Everyday I'm Shuffling...
