Hi Beekeeper , yeah big difference you can defiantly tell when you have a red eye. All those chicks pictured are from season 2011

Hi , hope everyone is well, have seven chicks coming on nicely the lacewing being yellow , it will be interesting to see the difference between this lacewing and the others(different hen). Have 5 pairs down in all stages of laying eggs , i wanted to get started early while the weather is good , but all my aviary birds are moulting. So ill build them up and start a little later than planned My camera has thrown the towel in, sorry for no pics A few old ones , this cock never filled a egg and i still own him.

Glad all is going well Corie, except for the molting birds Get your camera up and running again Nice cock, shame he can't fill the eggs. By the way, what is the percentage of fertile/non-fertile eggs you normally have?

Thanks Corie, I had a test post and it is working now. I am thinking on the same lines too, provided that he can fill the eggs. We get a good bird as this one in two cases only. Either there is something wrong with the bird or someone has put him in the selling lot by mistake. I hope later is the case this time

Hi BB , i hope the latter is the case for you. A change of environment can do wonders for the birds , i got a magnificent cock that two open breeders could get nothing out of, well his chick counts rising in my shed Its 12.30 here 34c, the lawns are done , off to the beach now. Take care..
