We have collected the beautiful budgies from Anne. A really lovely lady who took great care of the little fellas. They are very sweet and beautiful colours. They are currently settling down after their trip home. I will let them settle before I take pictures so you can all have a look and tell me what mutations they are. I'm a very happy budgie mummy.

Welcome to your new home little buds. What's their names? I haven't got that far yet. Anne called the both Tweety. I want to change their names so I know who is who. Here are a few pics, not brilliant but they wont keep still. The blue one is darker than it's showing in the pics. I like the name Chester but not sure which one it suits, I'm thinking the blue one.

And what are your others called again?
Chester is a great name or Ches if you are into abbreviations. Archie I think Bailey would have been if I had thought of it then.

Chester is great...I think...for the blue one. For some reason Horace came to mind for the other one and I don't know why it was just what popped in my head when I saw them. They are lovely.

My other buds are Phoebe, the only Hen, Tweedle, Basil, Larry and Titch. They are the aviary buds, I have Echo in a cage in my living room.
I assume we are all agreed they are both male. Anne wasn't sure about the yellow one as he is a bit of a live wire. She isn't wrong, he's a right little character, not frightened of anything. I think it's male but what does everyone else think, I know the picture showing his cere isn't great? The blue one looks like it could be more purple than blue. I'll get some better pics and see what you all think.

It is hard. Don't the cere colours alter a bit depending on the main mutations? Where did Anne get them from?

Just a random thought, when I saw the pic of your yellow/green fella the word 'Spearmint' immediately came to mind. They look lovely - well done giving these guys a loving home.

More pics. Still not good but the best I could do for now. This one is a bit blurred but it shows the colour quite well.

It is hard. Don't the cere colours alter a bit depending on the main mutations? Where did Anne get them from? She bred them herself. She used to have an aviary and breed lots of birds. She was particularly trying for the purples and violets.
