I understand what you say Hezz. Usually if a plant, veg or other foodstuff is in a list and there is doubt about part of that plant some-one will state that doubt. I don't know how many list I looked through but not one mentions radish leaves, forgetting that in other parts of the world they are classed as tops. So just by the fact that leaves was not mentioned, there was doubt about there safety, so I would not have fed them to a budgie on the premise that because there was no mention they would be safe. Thanks to Starlingqueen pointing out that leaves are also called tops I did find a mention about them, which I have now forgotten I will look it up again. Now if on the other hand every list stated that the leaves/tops where fine for a budgie to eat and I fed them to a budgie that was ill or worse then I would think it was that particular budgie, allergic or whatever and would not blame anyone for that. That sort of thing happens with all animals. I hope I am making sense here.

Perfect sense, OP. It was the implied "who do I blame" bit that was a worry, as we try to help out with all due care, but if people are going to apportion blame when things go wrong, I think the advice with start to dry up. I know mine will. This was my point. So when you re-find radish tops and whether they are okay or not, post it up for us, would you? Let's put this baby to bed!!!

Well I didn't expect to hit a nerve with that small point. If it was taken in the context of the rest of the post I thought it would be taken as part of not the point of apportioning blame. Here is the point of my original questionSomeone else has noticed the absence of leaves/tops/greens being mentioned. Further down the page there is a post by a member of that forum by the name of 4keets about 3 posts down is rather interesting. Is what this person says true?
