I often recommend to members that making a point of catching hold of your budgies regularly saves a lot of stress to both you and the budgie if and when this is needed especially for administering medicines, clipping nails or simply for a once a week check-over. So instead of just talk, here is a video my son and I made to illustrate how stress-free the catching process can be:
Well done Hezz Great illustration. It will help a lot of pet bird owners
My Birds My Foods & Supplements Always treat your pets as family members. We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures (Quran 21:107) There is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing (Quran 6:38)
Great job Hezz!!! There are no surprises for these birds - they see the hand before it touches them, and know what's going to happen.
I'm not so sure that I can replicate this in the larger aviaries though, and will keep using a net, unfortunately. I'm always afraid they will get hurt by the round hoop hitting them, but thankfully this has not happened yet.
